Great design ideas and the highest quality workmanship

Of all the contractors we met, Lenny spent the most time in coming up with unique ideas and designs for our elevated patio during our initial meeting. He made himself available at all hours of the day and week — whenever it was most convenient for us. He spotted problems early on and went out of his way to help us work through the problem, offering helpful suggestions along the way. We were getting other work done at the same time and he coordinated his schedule with the other contractor to get the job done smoothly and on time.
He worked within our budget, offering suggestions on where we can save money and still get quality material.
With Lenny and his crew, you will get a very knowledgeable and experienced team who provides quality workmanship and beautiful designs. They don’t take shortcuts — they make sure that the job is done right. We love our new elevated patio and so do our neighbors.
Lenny was such a joy to work with, we had him come back to do additional brick work for us.

Very personable

The work they did in the backyard was impeccable. Lenny’s amiable attitude and attentiveness gave us the best experience possible. They really listened and gave some great suggestions. All considering we paid a great price for the results we were given.

New front stoop, walkway and a matching rockwall in the front of the house. Bluestone and river rock.
Lenny came to the house for the estimate and I explained to him my vision for the front and he completely understood what I wanted, made great suggestions and made my vision a reality. Lenny and his crew are very professional and considerate. I will have them back in the spring to do all the plantings.

I talked to Autumn Leaf for estimates on repaving a one-car driveway with pavers or brick. I’m looking at buying an house that may need lots of work, including ripping up the asphalt and putting down pavers or brick.
Lenny was really easy to talk with. I gave him a rough guess on the size of the driveway, and he did a quick calculation for me of labor and materials, offering a general range from less expensive to more expensive materials. He kinda reminded of those guys you see hosting those DIY Network shows (which I *love* to watch. I wonder if professionals think those people on TV are lame.) No sales pressure, very frank and upfront style. Like the other companies I had called last month, their attitude was like, “If you want us to do this job later, no problem. Whenever you’re ready.” I’m happy that Angie’s List has companies that are good like that. Of course, if I happen to find a house that doesn’t need work, well, you know it’s easier to go that route...

Autumn Leaf redid my steps, walkway, driveway and landscaping.
Lenny was great. He was ontime, professional and very knowledgeable. The work he did for us was creative and finished within the budget & timeframe he initially told us. I had two long brick paths with steps, one large (18x18) brick patio, and one small brick patio installed. The steps were done in blue stone. I also had Belgium block installed along my long driveway.
The guys were great. They had to work under difficult weather conditions — but they were there faithfully until it was done — sometimes working covered in plastic bags. They only time they held up work were days that required cement drying conditions. The bricks were laid two years ago & it still looks like new! My neighbors are still commenting on the improvement.

If I could give a perfect grade to Lenny (owner) and Autumn Leaf Landscape Design, I would without hesitation. From the planning stages of this project, my husband and I were extremely impressed with Lenny.

Third, he designed a beautiful, and well-thought-out plan for our entire backyard that we loved from the first time we saw it on the computer screen. He managed to capture everything we wanted. His crew arrived on the exact day Lenny told us they would. And the project proceeded in the exact time frame Lenny laid out to us at the start.
The pride and workmanship of every person on the crew was evident from the first hour on the job — and this level of commitment and care continued throughout the entire project. From the larger aspects of the job to the smaller details, everything was done to perfection. Lenny himself was always on site — there was not a single day we did not see him to touch base or ask questions. Lenny went above and beyond any other contractor we have ever worked with; his combination of professionalism, passion for his craft, and knowledge is extremely rare and something that we feel very fortunate to have found.
Simply put, Lenny M. and the Autumn Leaf crew are, by a HUGE margin, the best contractors we have ever worked with (and we have worked with many contractors inside and outside of our house). Absolutely the best contractor we have worked with. Lenny and the workers of Autumn Leaf were extremely professional and experts in their field. Our landscaping and pavers have enhanced the beauty and increased the use of our backyard area. Lenny was from start to finish was honest and easy to work with. His design work was impressive. The ability to see what our pool area would look like before we began was extremely helpful. We have already recommended their work to many of our friends some of who have hired the company as well and were also very happy. We plan on more work in our front yard for next spring.

Lenny and his wonderful crew designed and landscaped both our front and backyard. Lenny was involved in all aspects and stages of the job and continues to be a part of our property. Lenny and his crew did an amazing job at our home creating a beautiful brick driveway, brick walkways, front and side stoops, landscaping in the front yard and more recently landscaping in the back yard. My back yard needed work and we were unsure of what to do. I work in the mason field and figured I would use Autumn Leaf, but, also wanted to get other ideas and quotes from different companies. Needless to say, we went with Lenny. He was very professional, knowledgeable and honest — did not try to "sell" us into anything we couldn't afford. He was on-site every day. His crew is also amazing, ontime and professional and also did an amazing clean-up too. I would highly recommend Autumn Leaf to anyone.

Outdoor Space

Lenny is a true professional who has passion for what he does. First, he listens to what you want, then comes up with a plan on exactly what's needed to accomplish the goal. He is an expert designer, and an excellent outdoor architect. Lenny did the landscaping in our front and back yard, after he created a gorgeous out door living area with beautiful paving stones. Lenny uses only the best materials. He transformed an unusable area to an outdoor oasis.
I never expected our outdoor space to be this beautiful.

When I first called Autumn Leaf I wasn't sure what I was looking for. My back yard was in shambles after I purchased my house last March. After Lenny (the owner of Autumn Leaf) came to my house, my girlfriend and I knew we were using them. He put together an excellent design for the back yard and we ended up putting together a plan for the front as well. We got the insight and design schematic of a master landscaper in Lenny. He really cares and takes pride in what he was doing as if it were his own house. He is on sight all of the time supervising the day by day logistics to ensure that his team's work is nothing short of perfect! I did my homework and the quality of the herringbone pattern we had done is perfect. Needless to say, I was very pleased and will always recommend Lenny to all my friends and family!

Lenny & Autumn Leaf's work is second to none. I had a $20,000 budget for; patio, front planting, & backyard landscaping. His ideas of adding value to the outside of a home within a budget are terrific. He never rushed us during the planning stages & even took us to the masonry yard & nursery to pick materials. His crew are here on time & finished quicker than our time frame. He was on site every day. His men are clean and professional at all times.

Huntington Village job

Autumn Leaf tore out an old asphalt driveway and laid a new one, widening it a couple of feet and bordering it with Belgian block. They removed gravel and laid topsoil, reseeded the back yard with grass, moved some plantings and installed new ones, clean up the back yard, and cleaned and re-stained our wood fence. From start to finish Lenny has been a joy to work with — consistently friendly, professional, knowledgeable, punctual. I was very impressed by the fact that Lenny was on site every day work was being done, and he took pains to explain options to me in detail and help us craft our outdoor design within our budget. The total cost was exactly as contracted, and the Autumn Leaf crew was very quick and thorough. I highly recommend Autumn Leaf without qualification, and will hire them for all my landscaping work in the future.

If you are considering any kind of landscaping work, I highly recommend Autumn Leaf Landscaping Design.

When we moved into this house, it had an old retaining wall that was rotting apart and needed replacement. We did our research and figured we would replace it with cultured stone. The next step was to find a contractor, which can be a daunting task!

Rather than use the yellow pages, we asked a few supply yards who they recommend — and one of them was Autumn Leaf. When we first met Lenny (the owner), we had a gut feeling that he would be the one to do the work, but still got quotes from two other companies. Lenny was patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful with his suggestions — he walked us through the many options and had some very good ideas.

Ultimately, his price and terms were just about in the middle — the highest bid was ridiculous and we weren’t comfortable with the lowest.

We are very glad we chose Lenny. His start date was on target except for the unpredictable weather. He was onsite every day and kept on top of the work. As items came up, he made great suggestions and for minor adjustments, never asked for more money. They completed the work on time, and even cleaned up! Frankly, it was a pleasure working with him and his crew.

All in all, we highly recommend Lenny Mirabile and the crew at Autumn Leaf Landscaping and Design!
